F3 designates Key Functions Working (R2V3 Appendix C — Test and Repair). A subset of the primary functions that an ordinary user expects to function are verified working through manual or software tests. Software may not be loaded or configured. Hardware required for key functions to be tested may have been removed after testing (e.g., hard drive). The device may be missing components or parts not essential to key functions, and secondary functions may not be tested or working. Focus materials (e.g., battery) that are not working or not tested may not be included. All missing components or parts are listed for each item. Data has been sanitized or the device is free of data storage media.

C2 designates Used Poor condition reflecting heavy use and age. Cosmetic blemishes are significant, such as multiple heavy dents that may require repair. Damages to latches, hinges, keyboards, and similar components are prevalent. Critical parts are missing. Visual appearance and label condition are poor with major dents and scratches and major discoloration. The device has been cleaned inside and out but has no packaging.
