R2V3 Grade Reference
Every grade code used on Certified Used Electronics, straight from the SERI R2 Equipment Categorization (REC) v1.2.
How grades combine
Each listed device is assigned one grade from each series, written together as F5 / C6. The two dimensions are completely independent — a device can be fully refurbished (F5) with visible wear (C4), or hardware functional (F4) but in excellent cosmetic shape (C6).
How well the device works. Higher = better. F6 is like-new with OEM parts; F1 is collectible/specialty.
How the device looks. Higher = better appearance. C9 is new open box; C1 is damaged (materials recovery only).
Defined by REC v1.2 Table 4. Higher number = better condition. F6 is like-new; F1 is collectible/specialty.
